In June 2025, Argentina posted a US$ 906 million trade surplus — the largest of the year and marking its nineteenth consecutive month of positive balance. However, the cumulative surplus in the first half amounted to just US$ 2.788 billion, down 74% from US$ 10.742 billion in H1 2024. While exports rose 10.8% year-on-year to US$ 7.275 billion, they were far outpaced by imports, which surged 35.9% to US$ 6.370 billion—led by sharp volume gains in vehicles, capital goods, and consumer items. In bilateral trade with Brazil, Argentina posted a monthly trade deficit of about US$ 520 million, as imports from Brazil soared by 68% while exports grew only 8.9%. Link
