The Port of Buenos Aires handled the unloading of three diesel-electric locomotives manufactured in China by CRRC-Dalian, which arrived aboard the BBC St. Petersburg, a vessel flying the flag of Antigua and Barbuda measuring 148 meters in length and 23 meters in beam; the units, SDD7 model locomotives weighing 114 tonnes each, will be used in urban operations on the San Martín Line, and were unloaded at Dock E through a tandem operation using two cranes working simultaneously per unit, along with the discharge of crates containing spare parts; the operation was coordinated by logistics operator Loginter together with Trenes Argentinos Operaciones, the General Port Administration and BBC Chartering, demonstrating the port’s capacity to handle project cargo and heavy equipment while supporting major railway projects and strengthening urban connectivity.
