Argentina’s agribusiness exports reached 74.3 million metric tons during the first seven months of 2026, up 13% compared with the same period in 2025, with a total value of US$32.507 billion, representing a 15% year-on-year increase. According to the data cited in the article, 35 agribusiness sectors recorded growth, accounting for 93% of total agribusiness export value, with notable increases in cotton (+114%), sunflower (+100%), sheep (+87%), beekeeping (+63%), sour citrus (+44%), cattle and wheat (+37%), fisheries and aquaculture (+22%), dairy products (+14%) and corn (+13%). Exports also showed significant diversification, with 361 products shipped to 133 destinations, including sharp increases in lower-value export categories such as plywood, veneered or laminated wood (+1,112%), frozen whole and half lamb carcasses (+727%), cotton yarn (+464%) and turnip or rapeseed for sowing (+417%). The ten leading markets — India, China, Brazil, Vietnam, the United States, Chile, Arabia, Peru, Indonesia and Malaysia — accounted for 51% of total export value, purchasing a broad range of products including oils, meat, soy products, wheat, corn, dairy, fisheries products and wine products. In addition, Argentina exported agribusiness products to 15 destinations that had recorded no purchases in the previous year, including Libya, Liberia, Guyana, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Haiti, further expanding the sector’s market diversification.
