Southern Energy (a consortium of YPF, PAE, Pampa Energía, Harbour, and Golar LNG) is expanding its LNG export project from Vaca Muerta with a second floating liquefaction vessel (MKII), set to arrive in 2028. It will join the Hilli Episeyo, expected in 2027. Together, they will enable exports of up to 6 million tons of LNG per year, equivalent to 18% of Argentina’s winter gas production. The total investment is estimated at USD 7 billion and includes a dedicated pipeline from Vaca Muerta to Río Negro. Link
