Milei–Trump agreement threatens Brazil’s presence in the Argentine market – Datamar News | 24/11/25

The trade and investment cooperation deal between Argentine President Javier Milei and U.S. President Donald Trump may undermine Brazil’s role in Argentina’s import market. Brazil relies heavily on manufactured goods exports to Argentina — in the first ten months of 2025 these exports reached about US$ 14.9 billion, with more than 90 % in manufactured items. Light vehicles, accessories and engines alone accounted for 45.5 % of Brazilian exports to Argentina in that period. With the entry of more competitive U.S. products, Brazilian exporters face a likely loss of market share, threatening both their Argentine and U.S. export flows. Link to Article
