The Argentine government promulgated Law 27,800 approving the Interim Trade Agreement between Mercosur and the European Union through Decree 111/2026 and ordered its publication in the Official Gazette, formally incorporating the treaty into the national legal framework after it was approved by the Senate with a large majority; the law also instructs notification to Congress and to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, responsible for implementing the agreement, and represents a key step in the country’s foreign agenda with the aim of deepening the exchange of goods and services, facilitating investment and strengthening economic integration between both regional blocs, which is expected, once operational, to diversify Argentine exports, improve access to European inputs and technologies, and provide more predictable rules for the private sector.
