Argentina and the United States signed a Reciprocal Trade and Investment Agreement in Washington, in a ceremony led by Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno together with officials from the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). The pact aims to strengthen economic ties and deepen the bilateral relationship, including commitments to reduce tariff and non-tariff barriers, facilitate market access, and improve conditions for exporters and investors in both countries. According to the information released, the agreement covers areas related to trade in goods, regulations, intellectual property, investments and strategic sectors, seeking to establish clearer and more predictable rules aligned with international standards.
